Where Performance Becomes a Vehicle for Change

Staging Her is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that envisions a world where young women from developing countries rise beyond barriers, harnessing the transformative power of performance to tell their stories, defy expectations, and inspire change. Through training and live performance in the United States, we create stages where their voices are heard — and these women return home not just as artists, but as leaders.

"What I enjoy most about performing is that I can be the voice of the voiceless."

Marietou — Senegal

"Once I get this opportunity, I will be a pioneer to girls in my community."

Tihunzer — Ethiopia

"The circus is a place where I can be myself — or anyone I want to be."

From Selection to Transformation

01
Partner & Select

We work with social circus and performance organizations — including Palestinian Circus School, Circus Zambia, Sencirk, Arba Minch, Cirquenciel, and Circus Ramba — to identify talented women ready to lead in their communities.

02
Train & Perform

Each participant spends two months in the U.S. — intensive training, performance creation, a tour across Colorado, cultural exchange, and professional development that transforms careers.

03
Return & Lead

These women return home not just as artists, but as teachers, role models, and community leaders — creating a ripple effect that empowers the next generation to dream without limits.
